I have the bulk standard Dunlops on my recently aquired Auris T180 2.2. Looking at the sticker on the B post I see these pressures are for 5 passengers and or not fully loaded. Does it make a difference if you mainly sit in the car yourself and what should the ideal cold pressure be for front and back tyres on a T180. You see that many differeent settings it gets a little confusing especially for an old guy like myself..lol….Also should you still rotate tyres to even wear or is this all old hat…cheers JD

Hello and welcome to TOC.

Can't advise about the tyre pressure, but tyres do need to be rotated every 3 to 5000 miles (guys, correct me about the mileage if I'm wrong) because the front end of the car is always heavier than the back, because of the engine weight, which wears the front tyres more than the rear ones.

Regards,

Svet

If it helps i use 38psi front 32psi rear.

Check often

With regards to rotating. Both front and back are still in the green when tread depth is measured. Thats after about 17k miles. They could probably do 30k miles on these tyres.

By summer i reckon i will need new fronts at about 25k for the 2009 winter. I will then ask them to put the current rears on the fronts providing they are still in good nick and the new ones on the rears.

Never put partially worn tyres on the rear!

In BAR it's about 2.6 front and 2.2 rear...

1BAR = 14.5PSI

Best regards, Alex

Yeah on a fwd car keep the newer tyres on the back and rotate them to the front when you get a new pair. rear tyres barely wear at all and if you leave them on the back they can last so long they crack, give no grip and fail a MOT even with 4mm of tread!
