Why some Auris (and another Toyotas) have D-4D and other D-4D?

i think the ones with the red D are old badges

Common on cars a few years old or more with the d4d engine. Some have found their way onto newer cars.

Must be the batch of badges toyota orders on the production line. Doesn't signify any difference to how the engine performs or is setup as far as i'm aware.

Are the "red d" Auris' not the 1.4 model? Mine is a 2.0 and has the plain silver

What difference does it make what colour they are , they make no difference to how the car performs, and when sitting in the car you cannot see them anyway?

Some people even take them off the car.
