Hi everyone,

I have just bought an MR2 for my husband for Valentine's and was wondering if i've done the right thing?

I'm sure he'll be happy with any MR2 as its his first one but can anyone actually tell me what sort i've bought (i'm a bit spontaneous!!) Ive been told its 1990 G reg but there seem to be so many sorts out there. Any more info would be gratefully received!

Well it's definately an MR2!

Not sure about the type but if you look on the boot lid under the spoiler it should tell you which model, G Limited, GTi etc

I'm sure he'll be happy with it tho!

I looks like a UK spec non turbo Revision 1. There are 2 engine types on this model, 3S-Fe 110 BHP and 3S-GE 158 BHP.

Hi,

Well it turns out i've bought an import! For some reason it has both sets of indicator lights but the engine, reg date and insurance companies all seem to confirm.

I'm not sure whether that's a good thing or not?

All it needs is two rear tyres, front number plate and a new rear caliper (anyone know if i have to get a special caliper or can UK ones be put on?)

Think i've done quite well overall!

Must have had a UK spec rear bumper fitted at some stage.

Some impoerters put UK spec wind indicators on as well as the import tobes.
