Stereo Instructions Needed

I've just got a '98 SE with the factory stereo, but no instructions. There are a variety of buttons and on-screen messages which make little or no sense. Can anyone help with a copy of the guide? Main problem being that the radio plays at a completely different volume to the CD and no amount of fiddling, pushing and swearing makes any diff.

Please help before I go deaf or blow the Speakers.
