hi, i was just wondering if my engine (1.6 16v vvt-i 2001) is cam belt or chain driven?

i would presume its exatly the same as mine then :P

might be wrong here but, arnt all vvti and vvtl engines driven by chain?

i just called MR.T 2day and for my 1.4vvti its A CHAIN!!! Yesssssssss, i was going to sell my car before it reaches 60k but i think its gna stay for a bit now

thats a bit extreme isn't it? even if it was a belt then they arn't that hard to change

I'm assuming that the 4A-GE is belt driven too?

I'm pretty sure it is but I can't find my HAYNES!

its not extreme at all NO!

so far i have changed the drive shaft, gear box and clutch all at 54k miles!!!

if i have to spend another penny on the car i will leterally sell the car!!!
