Hi can anyone help with 2004 2.0 D4d SCV valve ,i think i have a problem with the scv valve ,i believe location is on the pump is this correct? what roughly does it look like and what can be done with it to make it better or check it works.

The problem still exists with starting every now and then i have to turn it over a fair bit and its just on edge of firing for a few seconds whilst turning it over ,and me saying come on come on, it always starts but this problem is now and again ????

Only other thing i havent done is change fuel filter (not sure when last done either)which im going to do ,as suppose it will rule that one out first.

hello

location staed is correect;

use (+) wire andn touch respective contact on SCV -- this valve must to click confirming it works;

in case the engine can be started - this means this SCV works otherwise you'll not be able to start engine at all;

before taking decision -- you have to check all filters + injectotrs. besides you might to have a problem with an air presence inside the HP fuel injection pump.

hi the idea is very simple -- yes there are twos and each one must be checked by those method.

just check whether both have good (-) contact and touch (+) of each valve by a wire from accululator (+).

both must to click. in casce of an oppossite then the solemoid is burnt out.
