Intercooler(upgrade)

Just wondering how good these intercoolers are on eBay for around 100 quid, seems to good to be true.....! SMIC is the one i was looking at but they seem to cheap.........! Was also wondering what the dimensions were on the stock i/c on my rev 2 turbo were...? And what would be a decent hike up in size. cheers in advance The Baller7

but i'm guessing it's the same old xs power ones?

if so i have one and they are a vast improvement providing you also get the shroud from gts-chris and also a good fan n fan shroud... another good tip is buying the 2 extra hoses that are not included, they make life a lot easier when fitting.

The stock i/c is not the easiest to get out but you can do the whole job in 2-3 hrs. Anything you buy to replace the stock item is a vast improvement.

It will be better than the standard unit (and as Mo says, its a !Removed! to get out!)

Only thing from XS and if you look at the pics closely, the quality is a bit poor, and you can see how ***** the welds are and the fins look wonky! Which will upset flow through the thing.

If i were going to buy one id at least have it pressure tested to ensure the poor looking welds have actually sealed or not :)

That does look a bit shabby tbh, mine is a lot better and neater.

It might be worth looking on the for sale section of IMOC, there is always stuff on there, usually good prices for complete kits.

I know if i had the cash n time i would of gone down the same route as Roberta, you have gone st205 cc haven't you Rob?
