Air Vent - Cold Air (drivers Side)

I have a Corolla T-Sport 03 plate.

I had an ongoing problem with little to no air flow coming out of the drivers side vents.

This was resolved by replacing the pollen filter but now that the air flow is at full forced, I have noticed that the air flow is throwing out only cold air regardless of the temp setting.

The passenger side is perfectly fine, it adjusts the temp accordingly and the pipes that feed in the hot water (two silver pipes behind the glove compartment) are both very hot so there doesnt seem to be a blockage up to this point.

So i am comfused to what is causing this problem? Does anyone have any idea's before i take this car into toyota? I know they will slap a silly charge on for fixing this problem and it seems like a simple solution that i am just overlooking??

i dont pretend to know much about cars, but when i thought a sensor had gone in my car i went and had a chat with a mechanic, and he told me i'd only really wan2 worry if my heaters begain blowing cold air.........said that could be a serious problem?

but don't panic on account of that, just something to think about

It happened to me a little while ago then just stopped.

Cant help you out with a reason why unfortunatly.

A blockage perhaps??

Go to a local independant, if anything like mine they'll have a look and just charge you "beer money" ;)

alrite mate. i had this problem last year. the heater was blowing cold air drivers side and hot air the passengers side. after a lot of running about i came to the conclusion that the heater matrix was blocked. i booked the car in with mr.t and they confirmed that my heater matrix was blocked.apparently this is a common fault with the pre-facelift models. i did fix it from the dealers costing me nearly £700 for supply and fit because i didnt want to give my car to a local garage.my heaters are now perfect.the dealer will charge you about £50 pounds to find the fault and confirm it. good luck mate....................
