Sunroof/moonroof Not Opening Any Ideas...

I have only recently purchased a T180 and I am over the moon with it. But i have noticed that the Sunroof (may be called a moonroof) will not slide open, it tilts up after a little effort. I assume this will still be covered under warranty? (car only over 15 months old). Has anyone else encountered this problem? I had a carina years ago with a sunroof and this worked flawlessly throughout the cars life...

Mine had a problem once. The plastic lining (looking up from inside) that lines both sides of the sun roof had become dislodged, it prevented the glass to slide but ok to tilt. I refitted both lining myself and it was fine since.

When you try to slide it, does the motor start? Can you hear the motor? If you can then just make sure that the lining are fitted fine, if not then you might have a electrical/motor problem.

Thanks T Sport yes motor running okay possibly same problem as yours. I'll check this out but car going into get washer nozzles replaced tomorrow so I'll mention it to them first. Failing that I'll carry out the same procedure as yourself....thanks..JD

I was at my dealers and apparently it requires a new switch which has been ordered. So hopefully it'll get fixed...
