T180 Tyre Life Approx Mileage

Dear all,

I have a 2008 T180 with 10k on the clock and my question relates to mileage before they wear out. I know that if you brake hard corner hard and accelerate hard this reduces tyre life. I tend to be reasonably gentle on tyres and keep the pressures checked on a regular basis. So how many miles will they last for ish? Anyone any ideas.

Thanks in anticipation.

I had a free safety check last week, when my car was in the garage. They reckon I have 4mm left on the front, and 5mm on the back. This is after 29k miles. If I'm honest with myself, I reckon I'm a 'failrly agressive' driver.

Hi Mereside, in reply to your question i got 43000 miles on the fronts having just had them replaced, also just had a MOT at 46000 miles and the rear tyres will probably last to my 50000 service. I like to think that i drive like the average guy, but i do carry alot of tools in the back. Be ready for the cost of replacing your run flats.......£209.63 a corner !!. Hope this helps.

A big thanks to all who replied, at least I have some kind of bench mark to give me an idea.

The last cars I've had have been more performance orientated and started getting a bit low after about 10k and were costing about £140 a corner.

I must say I was impressed with the way they coped in the snow.

Once again thanks for the comments.
