New Tyres & Brakes But What To Buy?

The time is fast approaching when I will need to fit new front tyres and brakes to my Compressor. Infact i've booked in a 3 thousand mile oil change for the end of this month and will probably get the work done then.

I'm unsure what I should be looking for on both the tyres and the brakes??

Hoping someone can suggest what to get and what to avoid.

Cheers - Chris

I've been very impressed with my Toyo Proxes.

They have perfromed brilliantly in the recent snow and ice.

What sort of money do they go for? I'd put £200 aside for the tyres and the same for front brakes. Heard lots of stories about discs and pads (drilled, grooved etc) and EBC pads. This sound about right?

The tyres will be about £200 (have you swapped the rears for the front???)

Mr T will charge you a second mortgage for the discs and pads. You should be able to get them cheaper at loads of different places. try the link

I bought the car from Toyota and they had changed the tyres around (fronts to back etc) but the fronts are almost at the markers in the tread. Rears still look good. Brakes wise i realised a while back i'd have to shop around for a good price. EBC seem to be the pads to go after but there appear to be a lot of discs out there with many different makes etc suggested on this site.

I use toyo proxes r888 for track days and yokohama parada for the streets and now i found a company to put an evo 8 Brembo 4pistons brake calipers with amg 330mm discs in front of the car,but before that i used ferodo sport.
