Think yourself lucky, we have just bought a second hand Aygo (1000 miles on the clock) but they have only the standard key!! We are going to try a Auto Locksmith - will keep you informed about the cost and service

The locksmiths Timpsons told me that this remote Key can only be done by the Manufacturer

Your dealer should be able to supply you with an extra key, especially if you've still

got the little platic tab with the keynumber on it that should have come with the car.

As far as I know up to 4 keys can be learned to the car, either with or without remote.

The ones WITHOUT remote need to be taught to the car too due to the immobiliser.

When I got my nearly new Aygo in September last year I also thought about getting another remote key. That was till the dealer told me it would cost £130, or £70 for a standard key! That worked out that the two supplied keys made up 3% of the value of the car - crazy!

We made do, and shared the one remote key.
