Hi all, an addition to my earlier post....

are there any "faults" or known issues i can expect to find on the rav when i test it? or anything specific to check....

a 2001 4.2 GX 2ltr petrol 5 door........

never had a toyota, or 4x4 or suv type.......only ever "cars".....

thanks in advance....

i know toyotas are well built & so on...had a lexus for a while.....absolute dream...hoping thesame for the rav4...

I'd check that ALL the gear fluids have been changed if they're due (rear diff, gearbox and transfer box). I think they are prone to a clunk from the rear brakes - I think there's an FAQ/sticky on here somewhere on here that mentions it. Don't know about the five door, but my wife's 3 door had a towbar fitted and they had made a bit of a mess removing the left side trim panel in the boot to do the wiring.
