Hello

The key to my mother's Corolla 1.4 (W reg) will not work anymore. When it turns absolutely nothing happens. It doesn't look bent or damaged but does seem a little scuffed at the tip. She is using the only spare which works fine, but I don't know what the problem is. Is it something in the steering column or just a worn-out key?

Sounds as though the ECU can't read the transponder chip.

As for what to do i'm afraid i have no idea.

Your best bet may be to ask at a main dealer... get an answer... then if anything needs doing go to an independant which will be cheaper! :lol:
