So there I was tightening up my throttle cable on my gen 6 celica 7afe engine by the nuts and the threaded bar that holds the two nuts on snaps in the middle!! Dont ask how the hell it snapped must have been weak but anyway it did but the cable is still intact. Is there any hope in hell of me being able to disconnect the cable at any end to slide on a new threaded hollow bolt DIY style or do i have to bite the bullet and pay £69 and VAT on top for a replacement cable from toyota?

Any help would be great
