Hi Dash  ,

For my IQ2, I part exchanged my 2001 Land Rover Freelander 3-Door Softback 2.5 V6 petrol auto, as i was spending about

£70.00 per week on fuel i would be lucky if i got any where near 200 miles with a full tank :crybaby:

I guess there's going to be a few Smarts on Toyota forecourts !!

Mind you, I'd expected to see more Aygos up for part-ex...

The wife has just traded in her Yaris d4d 02 reg. Now that was a seriously good car, it will be interesting to see how the IQ compairs.

I traded in my Aygo Black, which was a great little car but a touch too budget for me.

Nope, Aygo owners are not upgrading to iQ, Aygo has it's own little niche and iQ is not a replacement for it. We are seeing allsorts of cars, some smarts, Mini's etc, but many are just coming in and buying one without P/EX

Kingo

I consider it more of a side grade than a down grade two completely different cars with different aims my mpg has shot up 20mpg and insurance flown down so I am happy.

My Smart fortwo.

Only a year old so is new facelift model, but the flexibility of the IQ with the rear seats to be used occasionally wins !!

Our dealer said they have sold most IQs to Smart owners. I thought that might just be a sales pitch but according to the votes so far it does seem to be the case !

Should get my white IQ2 next weekend.

Pick my black iQ2 up on the 27th hopefully - traded in my Honda Civic 2.2 Sport for it (I had a Jag last year) just couldn't resist it for some reason at this stage not sure if its the looks or economy (the no road tax has got to help). :D

If i had the money to be able to run one I would have got a new shape Honda Civic!! Love them hehe

traded in an Audi A6, so real-life downsizing (although I kept my other A6 as my main car)

Other A6? Unusual to have 2, having had one myself in the past it had a huge boot will you keep the IQ in there? ;)

Reading these posts just reaffirms the reasons I am trading mine in. I currently have a 1.9 CDTI (150bhp) SRI Astra.

Insurance has halved, tax is free, a full tank of diesel is £45 - £50, a full tank in the iQ should be around £30 and if I can get similar if not more miles from a tank in the iQ I will be happy.

The salesman did say people were trading in Rav 4's and big 4X4's due to the economy but I wasn't sure whether that was just to try and make a sale.

Upmarket?? Well that waits to be seen after reading through these forums there seems to be a lot of unhappy people with niggling little faults, gearbox... interior trim etc. However being used to ave 19mpg I think I can put up with minor issues.

Decided to go for the Pearl White and reversing sensors as I wont be used to reversing such a size car, actually if there was one post in a 10 acre field my other half would reverse into it :D

Quite excited about geting it, now that I have decided to downsize and the extra mpg, at the moment I feel my wallet draining almost as fast as the fuel tank in the Jag.
