Hi.

First time on the forum, I am due to collect my car on Friday, I am a firm IPOD user, I would like to connect my IPOD to the factory fit head unit and control it from the steering wheel. Toyota want £250 to put one in. I have a 5th Gen Ipod and would also like to charge it via the connection. Doeas anyone have any ideas where i can get this system from. PS I dont want FM transmit.

Thanks for your help

Sara

Hi sara - I also have this requirement for my Auris, and have been quoted a similar price from my dealer. I have also asked Halfords and they can add a attachment for a price. they would fit and guarantee the work, I am nervous about going in this direction, as I beleive the dealer would attempt to void the car warranty if anything went wrong !!!

I will watch the replies to your topic with interest.

I have managed to get the dealer to do it for £137.00, if you look on eBay you can buy the lead from a toyota dealer for £120 and then get a tech to fit it for you.

Hope this helps

Hi Sara, again :D

Will try to help you one more time... Please check out TRC site. Click my link, then AURIS/AXIO and after that choose INTERIOR. Straight link isn't working, so check it out like that. There is some iPod connection kit for 79.95€.

Best regards, Alex
