Lower Front Grill

How easy is it to take the lower grill off.

I realise I will have to remove the bumper but are there any other problems . I just want to take it out and use it to make a template for an idea but don't want to damage it.

The grills are clipped into the bumper. First remove the bumper. I advise that you put some masking tape/ duct tape on the front edges of the wings and along the bottom of the headlights. This makes it less of a worry of scratching things. The bumper is then bolted on top and bottom, and a couple of screw clips on the edgesof the wheel arches.

Then 2 people are best( one each side) pull the bumper outwards from the headlights to release the sides, and then forwards. It should come off easily.

The grills are clipped into the back of the bumper. These tabs are quite fragile, but can be released carfully with a flat bladed screwdriver.

Be especially careful if you are doing this in the nice cold weather we are having as the plastic will be more brittle!!

It's just clipped along the top and bottom edges, can be a bit of a pain to get out, but no special tools are required.

Have a look at the AIM for fitting the TTE-grille with foglights, this depicts removal of the original grille...
