Hey Guys!

Just took delivery of my 2009 "facelifted" Aygo+ MMT. I checked out the tecnical manuals on Toyotas website and I see that the Ipod kit can be retrofitted. Anyone know how much this is approx? And is there anything I should be aware of regd. this install?

Sincerely,

morgan :)

I asked my dealer about this for my aygo blue 2008 and the Ipod interface adaptor isn't available to order for the aygo.

Although it is listed in the online AIM website

He did say the AIM says it's for the LHD version.

Be interesting if anyone else knows more.

Looking at the AIM I see no reason what so ever why it would not be possible on a RHD car.

The only difference would be where to put the hole for the iPod-lead; on the left instead of on the right...

On the Dutch forum I read the interface to be about €170, so should be roughly the same for the UK I'd guess...

Might work out better to change the headunit for one that can interface with the Ipod fully.

I agree 100%: the iPod interface for the factory radio treats the iPod as

a CD-changer, but it allways starts at disc 1 (playlist 1) after a powerdown.

And as you don't get any visual feedback (the ID3-tags are NOT

displayed) searching for a specific song is near to impossible.

The headunit I have in my Aygo supports "iPod-direct" and even allows me

to search for a song, genre, artist or playlist while another song is playing.

And as you can have a headunit with proper iPod-control for about €200,

IMHO that's the better chaice, unless you absolutely want to keep the OEM HU...

Thats really good feedback. I appreciate your input. The main reason for not going into a third party radio is more the look/design.....

Morgan

ps. I love you'r sunroof!!
