Ecu Computer Chips 4 Seo's

I just wondered if anyone had any info on computer chips or ecu's for toyota paseo's. If you have one, or if you know of people that do. I've seen some on eBay that are like 8 bucks saying they'll raise horsepower, and i've been looking at a venom ecu that's like 300 bucks and says it can raise almost 20 horsepower depending on the car. If you know anything about it, please post. I'm not sure if either one is worth it, if it will even do anything?

The Dastek Unichip is a piggy back computer and can be programmed to suit mods.

The things on eBay are basically resistors which fool the ECU to keep on the cold start setting - ie pump more fuel in making the car run rich. Negligable increase in performance. Big increase in fuel economy...

Toyota ECU's often can't be cracked or re-written. Starlet Turbos usually go to a Greddy Emanage, a Unichip or a fully programmable ECU.
