Lo fellow Ravvers.... :D

Got a bit of a problem here... every now and then me Rav smells like someone has been sick in it... NOW I know that no one has so could this be an issue with the AC or is it the filters...

If its the filters then I'd be a bit miffed as me Rav only just had a service done back in November... Anywho, does anyone know of some decent air freshner one could use or is there some sort of "car deodorant" one can get to flush the air filters with??

Please help as it's quite Rank specially when the hot air is on

Regards

Rob

They wouldn't change the cabin filter without charging you extra but it is 2 minutes to do it yourself. That should be the first step. You can then buy a kit which will sanitize the system by adding disinfectant to the heater intake. I woould send that in through the cabin filter opening.

Toyota have some special kit that they send in through the fresh air vents and inject it while the pipe is being withdrawn - you could ask for a price or even if they might do it under warranty.

It can be caused by bacteria building up in the air con system

Blast some "febreze" down the air outlets in the car interior.
