Help With A Warning Light!

I have a 1990 Celica GT4 that i have recently purchased. I have noticed that when the engine temperature gets to halfway (and the fans cut in) I get a warning light appear in the top left corner of the instrument display. the warning light is a box with openings at each end and then four wavey lines coming from the top of it? Can someone please let me know what this is warning me about and where to start looking to fix it? The car runs and drives fine when the light is on and all coolant / oil levels etc seem to be unchanged. Thanks in advance!! :rolleyes:
