Central Locking 1999 Avensis

Hi Everyone,

Have just noticed problem with central locking on my 1999 Avensis.

Can unlock using the key fob fine, but central locking has stopped working when I attempt to lock the car. I then have to resort to manually locking the driver's door with the key and individally locking every door.. The key fob does light up and you can hear a slight click when I try to lock - but not enough to operate the central locking.

Have checked the fuses which are under the bonnet and they are all okay.

My local garage has suggested that I try this forum to see if anyone has had the same problem....

Would anyone know what alarm is being used in this make & model?

Same problem myself recently.

If the internal light is not working then check the fuse marked DOME. It's 10A I think . Look closely and you'll find it has probably blown.

Other than that I have no idea.
