Is Changing Air Con Compressor A Big Job?

HI,

At mylast serice Toyota told me my air con bearings had colapsed and car has ben very noisy due to this. I havemow bought a new air con compressor for £340 and need it fitting, is this a nig job, my brother who used to work for Toyota thinks not, but can't help cause he's in prison. Anyone an idea of what I should xpect to pay? Thanks in advance for any advice.

the position of yr brother is well understood :)))

ok - you ve got new compressor.

normally you'd find a reliable garage even private that deals with such car's A/C installation + repair.

Yr task is simple to instal it instead of.

In case this compressor is the same as yours then this job might be done within 3-4 hours. For sure you'll use the same refrigerant gas as per typed on the name plate sticked from inner side of the bonnet. They instal it + wash system with inert gas to push out an oxygen + have system vacuumed + fill in with new ref gas + ref oil + test it on leaks.
