hi my problem is my radio has stopped working, as i was driving the radio went off and ejected a cd since then i cannot get it to work either radio or cd . if i put a cd in it just ejects it. but i can hear a clicking from the cd player as i drive along which suggests it is turning. any ideas. thanks

hi my toyota rav4 2002 hesitation/loss of power. no faults codes found in computer and from cold car is runs ok .

once warm the kick down facility and 4th gear do not operate 3rd gear is engaged with bang .transmission oil quality is good seems unburnt what does this sound like to you thank you

i recently got a bad fill of diesel, (2 months ago)

the local gargae man took tank off, completly cleaned all parts.

however within ten days, the car cut out just as i parked up(since then it happens randomly every 3 days or 5 days.

garage man can't figure out the problem,

no engine management light comes on, no codes, he got some specialised person down from dublin with computers and stuff and nothing registering, he could see everytime the car has cut out but no reason as to why.

drives perfectly once on the road, and some days no problems when at idle rev

the only strange things happening:

sometimes the idle rev will go from .8 up to ~1.2 and back down, ususally when this happens, it'll cut out within the next 24 hours. or it will dip slightly below idle as if going to cut out but then settles again

no loss of power when driving,

black smoke sometimes, i.e today black smoke a few times(and wasn't revving abnormally) and has cut out three times this evening

disconnecting the Battery for ~20 seconds and she starts fine, although been stuck in traffic a few times, so just rev it up and floor it and the car comes out of it...this doesn't always work as soon as it goes back to idle rev, cuts out again.

a friend hooked up a hand held thingy and just revved the car in neutral, the MAF didn't register any change from going up and down the revs, i don't know if this is normal

i.ve been told it could a serious number of things and i can't afford the parts,

if you have any suggestions, i would really appreciate it

my local mechanic has checked all parts for dirt and has cleaned everything

Hi New to this , but have a problem with a 2002 Toyota Tundra 4.7L

I had to replace the Battery , I hooked up a secondary Battery to maintain codes.

I just bought the truck , with no owners manual.

Now the truck will not idle. My thought is to disocnnet the Battery to clear the computer

But I do not know if the radio will need a code ,once I reconnect the battery. Or if it even needs one.

The model of the radio is 16815.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

hi as you can see :engine shot: ijust wanted to know if it would be straight forward to exchange an engine from a 2008 model into a 2007 model and what would you advise looking for ie should engine code on 57 model be the same or not any advice would be very helpful thanks
