I have done my 70,000 intermediate service. Dealer told me they are going to do some tuning on my E-fuel management, which will be free. Well I was not sure what it really all about. i asked him to explain a bit. which he did - to be honest i didnt got the clue what he was talking about.

Anyways after my serivce i feel my car is doing very bad mpg. Before it was 39 - 40 mpg. Now is gone down to 30 - 34 mpg. I havent got a chance to drive too much yet. may be i am getting too conscious about it.

can somebody with same model share his experience ???. Any suggestions will also be appericated. Do i have to go back to dealer to look in this matter.

in case they have penetrated to your car then you'd press them to rectify.

As far as I understood they are an officials -- so it is deemed they must be responsible even for their free job.

Yes I have get this service done from toyota dealer. Actually I recently bought this car so not sure about fuel economy. When I say mpg is gone down its based on my finding during the travel of one month roughly, which is both motorway and town.

i never believe to the PC installed.

as per my observation - mine shows 6.5 ltr/100 km in town and 5.5 ltr/out of town, but it is only average value.

i used to fill the tank once a two weeks in case of accurate driving even in town, but when re-calculated this average figure is more than on the PC screen. that is the life. CHeers/Igor

I have also noticed........... after the service engine nocking sound is also comming, even in first gear which is quite strange. and pick-up is not good as it was before service.

Please suggest should i go back to toyota dealer with these problems ???
