Currie Motors Service Experience (brentford)

Today my Prius went into Currie Motors service centre in Brentford for an intermediate service at just shy of 29,000 miles. My 06 T-Spirit has always been serviced on time but I took it in slightly early for two reasons - one, the previous service was at 17,800 miles (the selling main dealer serviced it when I bought it) and two, I'm thinking about selling the car in the next few months and wanted a fresh service showing on the paperwork.

It was a good, hassle-free experience. I was called to ask if the wipers, pollen filter and tyres could be changed - all declined because they can be handled by myself more cheaply later on - although I did get the parking brake adjusted. They said there was a lot of play in it, and it's true then when waiting at a set of lights for example, you press "P" and the car sometimes rolls gently forward or back until the transmission locks. It's much better now. They also called again when the car was ready just two hours after dropping it in.

The car was also washed for my £219 (£180 basic service, £39 to sort the brake) which is more expensive than it costs to service the Fords I used to own, but less than our Audi (around £250+ for service like this). Overall I'd recommend them - maybe we should start a thread or subsection with Toyota servicing feedback.

Just had a full service at Dingles Norwich, Norfolk and was well impressed. Loads of stuff done (not sure what) But they took all the wheels off apparently! Car was washed and a superficial internal valet. Total cost £160. I got 20% off as am a member of their loyalty scheme - which gives you 20% off labour when your car is 4 years old and the percentage increases as you car ages....great idea!

I always like hearing good stories about main dealers because i think alot of people think they are all the same after they have a bad expirience with just one. There some good ones out there. Glad you've found one!

I had mine serviced at Brentford a couple times but they do tend to be expensive (prob London) but the last times I went on their Service plan ie buy 2 services for a lump sum. I believe they still do the plan. I recently had mine in Luton - quoted £140 odd but in the end came out £125 odd. Receptionist commented "it's always good when the final price is less than the quoted price!".

It is nice to hear when everything goes as it should  It is also good to be recognised for good customer service. No need to start a thread, you already have somewhere you can write a DEALER REVIEW

I encourage everybody to use it, for good OR bad experiences, the majority of ours are good, but when something goes wrong, we try and make sure it doesn't happen again!

Kingo
