Trip Computer

The trip computer does not seem to work on my 98 Avensis TD as in its showing 3487 miles, well I would like to reset this so its back to 0.0 I have held the button in and it doesn't reset, any ideas or am I not doing something right?

I'm still trying to figure it out myself but sometimes it can be reset by pressing the button in and turning it, I don't know if it should be clockwise or anti-clockwise.

I presume you mean the trip counter on the speedo? If it's the same as mine (later one 02) you press the button to change it from trip to odometer and vice versa. When it's showing trip mileage, press and hold and it should reset (but sounds like you have done that).

Silly question but are you sure you are pressing the correct button? mine has 2. One for the mileage, the other is for the panel lights. But as I said, mine is 02 so may be different.
