just been out in my st205 give it a bit then drove normal for 30 mins then pulled up left it running talking to someone and after about 10 mins it started smoking so i drove away and it seems to be fine, could anyone help and tell me what this is and does anyone know the car it is a red st205 gt-4 reg M212EWX cheers guys

Oh and why im at it it some times cuts out and wont start straight away what could that be Im going off it already please help me restore some faith only had it 2 days...

Cutting out and not starting straight away, make sure both Battery leads are firmly connected for a start but it sounds like you need new leads and best change plugs at the same time. As for the other problem im not sure about at all bit weird it smoking after 10 minutes i'll rack my brains. Don't lose faith mate this is cracking car to drive and its superb for modding, true its hard to work on the engine as theres never much space but its a great and challenges ur mechanical skills. I have crashed mine, took out the front end but rebuilt it and got a new block since i cracked that too just hang in there. You're not in the raf are you?

Thanks for the reply I love driving the car just been out in it again and its not smoke its condensation from not starting I think seems to be ok but ill take the advice gonna change plugs leeds oil and filter tomorrow. It has a massive mushroom filter on it and dumps through it is it meant to ( hope so coz I get loads of turbo chatter and thats what made me buy the car lol) Im not in the RAF I work on standbye vessels round oil rigs?

Thank you for the advice much appreciated you know more than me so ill look out for millers oil l be back on tomorrow. its got a massive front mount aswell. bed time for me i think speak tomorrow hopefully.

if your cars cutting out check for error codes (link to 'how to' in my sig)

as for the smoke it does sound just like condensation, it's a cold time of year even on a warm day so any car left idling will end up showing it's emissions, to be sure check the coolant levels in the radiator and your oil levels as regular as possible (preferably before starting the car)

could be a number of reasons as stated above

i dont want to worry you, but if the smoke starts after about 10 mins

and is blue, it could be a sign that the turbo seals are on theyer wayout
