New To Celica

just got a celica gt 1996,did have the rover v6 2.5 but it was nothing but trouble,spending a small fortune on it every week,now i have the celica it goes well and drives great,is there anything i should be doing with it? eg if its got a maf to clean etc and where are they and other bits in the engine is there any books i can download? thank you

To be honest mate, it took some getting used to for me at first - driving a car and not really having to tinker with it.

Problem is, it means you start spending money on mods instead hehe!

i know what you mean,every week i would have to spend on the rover some weeks £100 others £200 it was none stop the last straw was just two months ago put new thermostat in which in the v6 had to take top manifold off etc only for it to split again as they are made of plastic which says it all,had a look at the engine in the gt this morning previous owner dident change cambelt,so thats booked in for next week along with the kit,cant belive its been a week and still no trouble off the celica, exept trying to put fuel in! when i went out in rover i was just waiting for the next thing everytime!

Had mine for 18 months. Never gone wrong. Sailed through two Mot's. Great car.
