Rick's T180

Hi, I used to own a EP3 Cosmic Civic Type R and will say it is the best car I have ever had but as all good things they have to come to an end.

My old Cosmic CTR

So now I have grown up and bought a T180, I would have had a new civic diesel but to be honest im not keen on the shape so after looking at loads of cars the T180 was the one for me. My main criteria for the new car to replace the CTR was

1. It must be a Diesel due to the road tax licence laws and better MPG

2. Must have Aircon, Cruise Control and MP3 player

3. Would like a Diesel no less than 150BHP

4. Most important the new car must be nice but not look too much of a hot hatch like a Focus ST for example

Now the T180 more than ticked all these box's, So here are a few pictures of my T180.

I will be fitting a rear spoiler, possible rear tints but not very dark and I am after some brake pads that dont throw as much dust out, but due to not a lot of work at the moment I am keeping the money in the bank

Good choice my friend, T180 with additional body kit (spoiler/skirt) is good value since you are getting smart entry and sunroof.

I am sure you are aware about issue around the MPG ambition of the car, learn and earn the 45mpg mate, it is doable!

no idea how you get 45mpg mate, I can get 40mpg on a run or approx 38mpg around town. I know the spoiler is approx £200 painted and have the money but with only getting on average 15-25hrs a week at the moment I would rather wait

45MPG = 90% motorway (70-75mph cruise occasional thump for overtaking) & 10% town.

But yes, day to day town drive i get 39mpg at best.

I decided not to kit the car with spoiler or anything, i like the understated looks. But i might get the TRD springs sometime in the future as it looks so much better lowered.

The main thing I want is some brake pads as im sick of the wheels being black after 50 miles, Just want some decent pads that preform as good as the oem but dont give out as much dust

I suggest you to try Lucas/TRW pads... They should be pretty good and not too expensive ones!

yes but do those pads give a lot of brake dust out?

They wear slower and should give much less brake dust than the Auris' original ones...

I have Lucas/TRW at front, but i'm not a fan of them.

I'll try Mju-Project next http://project-mu.co.jp/en/products/pad_bspec.html

you are missing the point, I want some pads that are as good as the oem but dont give a lot of dust off, I am having trouble getting any prices on any pads as the T180 does not seem to be listed in many part guides etc.
