Verso Corolla Radio / Cd No Sound

Has anybody else had this problem. My radio will occasionaly work for a few minutes then a loud noise and nothing but a crackle from the speaker. When using at night even the lights go off the control knobs for a while. Again the problem could last five minutes or an hour.

Is it repairable or what types of replacements can you get with it being built in facia.

Welcome to the club. I should think any radio shop should be able to give you a quote to repair it, it may not be that much, look in your local paper for a mobile radio decoder, they usually fix them as well...

If you want an aftermarket one you can get a different facia to fit a standard radio, try eBay

Sound like a loose wire or connector, but could be any number of other things. If you don't feel confident in removing the unit to check the connections then at the cars next service you could get your garage to have a quick look for you.

Looking for the same answer. Sounds just what my radion is doing! It will work for a few minutes then a Pop! and all lights and sound on the radio go out, I can only hear the CD wizzing very quietly. Must be a loose contact. I changed the fuse twice now in the last 3 months, It has been madenning, that radio. One garage even advised not to change the fuse as it might cause fire! Have you resolved your problem now? What did you do at te end?
