Fitting Anti Roll Bar Bushes

Just placed a write up on how with pics but it seems to have got lost mid air or maybe it was too big?

Problem was nocking from rear when going over manholes etc

Time taken about 30 mins

Skill level required I would say is Novice

tools Limited

Cost Cheap

So i wil try again and add info & Pics bit by bit

Just got to grease and general clean up while I am down here

and they still knock cos the anti roll bar itself wears away , and new bushes make little difference after a few days ;)

First time i have heard of that .

I understood the rubber bush was to protect the metal and provide a absorbent wearing surface which reduced under the constant movement of the anti roll bar.

Obviously you must have had experience of this before on Celicas and i dont dispute your knowledge. Maybe you were unlucky and previous owners had not changed the bushes when they did need changing.

Either way the bushes were shot and are now fine, so i will monitor how long these will last. or the knocking to return.

I stumbled across this whilst searching for such a solution, I don't suppose you still have the pictures because I have to do this for my MOT and they would be really helpful.

SHARRU , ITS AN EASY JOB , 2 X 10 MM BOLTS TO REMOVE, BUSH PULLS OFF , PLACE NEW BUSH IN AND REPLACE METAL CUP AND 2 BOLTS .

I'm having the front & rear bushes done on my 1991 T170 Carina2. The guy in the garage couldn't fix a price point as his 'how long...' software doesn't show it..!! LoLzzz

We will no doubt settle on 30bob each.... :tongue:

I'm giving him the parts.
