Does My Verso Have Vsc?

Hi to all. I am new to this forum as I have just purchased a 2nd hand Corolla Verso 2.2.

The guy I bought it from assured my that it has VSC, however I'm not so sure about it.

I know on other car makes (VW for instance) there is an ESP off button. That makes it easy to tell whether your car has ESP or not.

I read that this is not the case with Toyota. So how can I find out whether my Verso has VSC?

The other day on a snowy raod the orange indicator with the car on slippery road blinked, but I appreciate this may as well be a TRC indicator?

ESP on some vehicles cannot be turned off so there won’t be a button. Need more information on your car. What year is it, what model is it?

When you turn on the ignition you should se the VSC light on the dashboard show up for a few seconds as it does a self check.

On the snowy road were you driving or pulling away?

When you start the car and all the dashboard lights come on there are 3 yellow lights grouped together (bottom left of dash) these show ABS VSC and TRC. The TRC is a picture of a skidding car the others have the letters of what they are written on them.

My Verso SR has an TRC off button in front of the centre console under the handbrake.

The VSC light is there!!! So that means VSC is installed, right? It's not just a standard light, is it?

Its there on all of them, the question is: Does it light up when you turn the ignition on? If it lights up then goes out then you have it

Yes it does. Very briefly though, a second or so...

Yes it does. Very briefly though, a second or so...

You have it then, it lights up as it checks the system, just hope it doesn't stay on one day as that means there is a fault...
