Just a quick note to say "Hi" to you all.

I've just taken the plunge and bought myself a second hand Auris T180 in dark grey. Having previously owned a BMW 330d I am still in the process of adjusting to the handling and performance characteristics of the new 'baby' - VERY different to what I had but am really starting to enjoy it. Though surprisingly the mpg has been a big disappointment at 42-43 when I was getting between 46-48 in the BMW.

Having been browsing through the threads, you all seem like a great bunch and I look forward to sharing my own experiences with you, as well as calling on your collective advice as and when!

Afaik from various reviews the 330D seems to be pretty much the nearest thing to a perfect diesel engine/ car - apart from of course it's inital purchase price etc.

I too recently went from a rwd to a fwd & yes, it's taking some getting used to.
