Hi could anyone answer these questions. what is the maximum pulling power using a heavy duty tow rope a: with my tow bar b: using emergency loops at the front and the back of the rav.

is it possible to fit a winch

I'm not sure what actual weight these things will pull...I towed a car transporter trailer from London up to Glasgow with a 2 ton Jaguar XJS on it with my 3 door RAV. Max of 40mph though for safety/ to handle the weight.

I don't know what weight will actually pull the tow bar off - but I think the clutch would give out before the bracket broke.

The loops are really only there to pull the cars own weight when being recovered/put on a transporter - have a look at the mountings for these.

Its possible to fit a winch, but again the load will be restricted by how the winch is mounted. On landrovers, the winch is fitted onto the chassis legs basically so the pulling power is large. On the RAV, theres no chassis as such so the mounting needs to be such that it spreads the load around.
