Hi all, :D

the problem i had with my IQ's manual gearbox has now been resolved,

THANK GOD

all they had to do was take the trim out inside and adjust something

by 8mm thats all i was told.

INCHCAPE TOYOTA GUILDFORD have been talking to the tech dept at

TOYOTA GB and are in the process of sending a memo out to all,

TOYOTA dealerships so they are now aware of the issues and

how to resolve this problem with the IQ's manual box :D

I went into Toyota yesterday and mentioned it as i do have to wiggle it in to 2nd every now and then, my dealer was gonna speak to the engineers and they are gonna give me a call back once they find out some info from other dealers i guess, If i dont hear in a week ill go back with the name of the dealer you went to though. :)

I called my dealer too & they were not aware of any bulletins/memos so are also going to call me back, I am so glad I read the post though as my Clio Williams has a bad synchro on 2nd so thought it was me not changing properly.

sounds like the shift cables needed re-synching. not bad at least its not the gearboxes that need changing.

it is to be expected with any new model that there will be small issues. glad its all been resolved

My dealer just called back & she is in for a day next week to get adjustment done, Toyota do indeed know all about it now.
