Is It Clutch?

Hi

I own a toyota avensis 1.8 vvti 120k when pulling off in second and hitting 3000rpm I notice that car has no power and is slow is the clutch worn out.

Ive seen a clutch for £60 whats fair price on labour

Any replys would be apprciated.

The clutch I am thinking of purchasing is a

National Remanufactured kit any suggestions would be helpful

Bit hard to tell from yor description. Does it just feel flat as though there is no power? Or do the revs increase but car speed doesnt as though the clutch is slipping? It sounds like a lack of engine power from your description. Possibly an airflow sensor fault. Might just need cleaning out and trying.

Sorry if you miss understood

The revs increase but the speed doesnt Ive just had it serviced ill check the air filter although I also find occasionaly the gears very stiff when changing.

Clutch needs replacing

May well be faulty clutch, appears to have all the symptoms. I would be more concerned with a £60 clutch unless you know someone in the trade selling at this price. Buy quality ex: Borg & Beck, Saches or something along these lines.

'Remanufactured', my advice is don't touch it.
