Rav4 1999 Heat Instrument Panel Lighting

Hello All,

For some time now I have been meaning to tap the knowledge base here with regard to the lighting in the deepset instruments Speedo etc.

I have difficulty at various times of the day as the daylight does not get into the instruments and the only time I can see them properly is at night when I switch on the lights. Question : Is there some way I can add some magnification or lights to enhance the system ???

New bulbs so that the instruments are easier read during the day. Thank you BB

Not sure what you mean by this. Is the glass on the instruments obscured? The bulbs in the dash go black with age. You might find a big improvement by just changing them.

If your adventurous, you could fit leds in behind the dash to provide more light.

On my 94 RAV number 1, half the wee bulbs have blown. As the dashboard will be coming out soon, I've left replacing the bulbs - getting the dash off isn't too difficult.
