New Verso - Is It More Than A Facelift?

Recommended Posts

I see from the Geneva motor show website that Toyota will be unveiling a 'new' Verso. Looking at the one image that's on the site it appears it will be a facelift - glasshouse and C pillar identical to current model.

Does anyone have any more info? I'm thinking of buying a second hand one and would like to know more about the forthcoming one. e.g. when it's coming etc.

Any help would be appreciated.

My dealer told me is out in April starting from £15000 approx and its not a face lift and is a bit bigger than current 2004-2008 Verso.

Interesting - thanks for the info. I'll wait to see the spec sheet. Should be available soon if it's coming out next month.

Auto Express have this info

Power is increased by up to 20 per cent, while fuel economy and CO2 emissions are improved by up to 12 per cent compared to the current model. Engine choices will comprise 1.6 and 1.8-litre petrols, plus 2.0-litre D-4D and 2.2 D-CAT diesels when it goes on sale in spring.

Toyota is hoping the Verso will match the Avensis and iQ, both of which achieved the full five stars in Euro NCAP’s latest crash tests.

Have to say I prefer the old style single window in the rear doors rather than the two piece unit in the new shape. Looks like this is to keep the roof line higher at the back for more rear seat headroom.
