Electrical Problems

Hi I have had my MR2 for just over a year now and never really had any problems to speak of. It is a late 1992 base model. Recently it started to run rough so I took it to my mechanic. The ECU diagnostic registered some sensor faults but when these were replaced the faults remained, one sensor apparently isn't even installed in this model.

The diagnostic readout is:CODE001:24 Intake air temperature sensor signal abnormal (open for more than 0.5 second)

CODE002:32 Air flow meter signal abnormal (ECU cannot recieve intake air pressure or temperature signal for more than 0.5 second while idling) (1) VC power abnormal (normal value is 4.5-5.5) (2) PIM (intake air pressure sensor) or VS (air flow meter) output signal abnormal (3) intake aire pressure sensor fault (4) module fault

CODE003:22 coolant temperature sensor signal abnormal (open or short for more than 0.5 second)

My mechanic says it could simply be an earthing fault somewhere or the whole ECU might need replacing but just pin pointing the fault could take ages. I was hoping that someone else may have had a similar problem and been able to sort it.

Any replies would be great

Did you upgrade anything on the car recently? What do you mean when running 'rough'??
