My clutch has no play at all. You can almost blow it to the floor. with your breath. I have bled the clutch fluid and replaced. Gears are not engaging at all when motor is running. Any ideas. 1989 Station Wagon Australian assembled. :censor:

Sounds like the master cylinder is gone or broken release bearing or fork.

See if you have any fluid in the clutch master cylinder, it should be up front by the brake master cylinder.

Only replaced master cylinder around 6 months ago. Plenty of fluid there. Now to add to the problem clutch seems to have full use back after swearing at the car and leaving it for about three hours. Still can't figure this one out. surely if it were the release bearing or fork do you think it would operate again after so many hours?

Bearing or fork.........if there bad there bad.

I'm guessing you have air in the clutch line some where.

Look all around the lines for fresh oil junk where it shouldn't be.

Brakes tend to be a lot the same if there is air in the line on them. That's what is making me guess you have air in the clutch system.

If you have someone around, you might have them watch the reservoir for the clutch while you pump on the clutch peddle a number of time. See if they see a air bubble while you pump.
