Electrical Issue

Hi, several problems with my MK3 2.2 petrol Pickup. The rear fog light doesn't work, new light unit fitted, fog light dash switch lamp also doesn't come on, not sure where fuse is ( checked fuses under drivers footwell and all appear ok and tested with multimeter? Am I missing something simple, wiring, failed fog light relay ( where is it located)?

Since I fitted a new stereo in dash the ciggie lighter and interior light fail to work, have I broken something or is there a fuse that may have blown?

Any help solving this would be a great help as the fog light has to be working for the MOT!!

Hi, success at last..... laugh.gif fault lay at the fog light end. There was a short on the live side to the lamp, spent some time tracing and testing continuity and voltage from switch to lamp. Thanks for the support and guidance on this tricky problem and I now feel that I have proved myself as a rookie auto electrician. biggrin.gif Just finished renewing the nearside rear spring this am. Onto my next issue, adjusting the front nearside wheel bearing and headlamps for the MOT.
