How old is the Car's Battery, if it's about to fail it would cause this problem.

My cars been doing this too, except I can turn it off! You can change the alarm sensitivity, there is a box under the central cup holders. Need to take the clipped facia off around the gearstick & the window opening switches, you can then see the black box under the cup-holder. Its held by some sticky stuff so you can pull it off and set the sensitivity to min. Also, I hear that leaving coins or shiny objects in the cup holders will also set the alarm off randomly, I think that's what has been causing mine.

Have you tried removing the under bonnet alarm switch, its a 30 second job and has caused a few people problems. I took mine off and my alarm problems sorted, i played with the switch for a bit pressing releasing etc, must of cleared some rubbish out of it and now everything is tickety-boo again. Give it a go :)

Good luck!
