we may slag the mk3's off, but to be fair they are kinda sexy in a girly way - and if i do buy a mk1, i wouldnt mind a mk3 as well to complete the trilogy.

then i can work backwards and get a triumph tr7 and do the whole george lucas prequel thingy

I'm not much of a mk3 fan (wrecked EXOTICS?? w'huh?) but you have to admit some of them look very nice indeed when kitted up! Its still a proper car in that is mid mounted RWD :D

I used to have a mk2 (I still think they are one of the best lookign cars from the 90s) and am after a mk1 :D (to 3S-GTEify ) :D
