Speed Clock Not Workin...?

My speedometer clock does not work and the milage does not clock up either so what could be the problem. this happened bout 5 day's ago and i am still driving it so when i find out what's wrong and get it fixed will the milage go up to what it should be if ya no what i mean or will it stay at the current milage. Any help on this subject would be Sound. :drool:

hav u tried checking the plug behind the speedo. it mite hav kum out. if u put it back in, the milage will stay at where it stopped and it will start from there.
