Hi All. :help:

I am thinking of buying an import Hilux Surf and have been advised to buy the 3.0l instead of the 2.4l Are there any little things that i should look for? Any advice would be appreciated!!! Any suggestions of a good insurnace company? Please help.

Go for the 3.0ltr as some of the 2.4s have had problems with cracked heads,the things to look out for are rusty rear bumpers (they rust from the inside out)and also make sure that the 4wd system is working ok.

It's also worth getting a mileage check done with http://www.bimta.org/ only cost's £17.62 inc Vat .

And the 3litre one doesn't??

Mate if you get one make sure you have the number of the cylinderhead centre to hand.

No the 3.0ltr doesn't crack,and have not seen evidence of one doing so.

I wish I had photgraphed mine then, it was a write off according to the first bloke I showed it to, another thing if they didn't crack would the head centre have one on the shelf??
