Timing Belt

Rav is due for timing belt change in 1000 miles so i went to toyota leeds to get a price for that to be done and they quoted me £365 to do the work, does this sound about the right price for it to be done,

Model is a rav4 2.0 d4d (4.2) 2005.

Hi Mark

I had my timing belt changed alsong with a service and it cost me £484 so I guess £365 for the belt change sounds about right.

I did mine myself it only cost about £30 for the belt I think. it's not a hard job just fiddly.

Last time i played about with a engine it was a vauxhall cavalier so i think i'm best of to leave it to the experts , engines come on a long way since then. :D :D :D

I'd say it was no more difficult.
