i dont like the pop lights and i dont think they look that good, and i hear the weigh around 20 pounds each.

so with that said i was thinking of doing a custimization job when i get an mr2. all the kits and such i have seen to replace the pop up lights with set fixtures arent street legal.

so after doing some thinking bout the shape and placement of the mr2 lights i feel that it would be possible to take some headlights from a later years prelude(similar box shape), so perhaps i wouldnt have to do any cutting to the hood or wheel well, and custom mount them in the mr2, and maybe it will look good and will be street legal...........i think it would look alright if i stay true to my perfectionist ways.

I've seen a car with FTO lights .. looked awesome .. and MTTE do the proper HID lights (but the price is silly)

I think the late spec 3000 GTO front lamps would look pretty cool. And they were actually made to replace the popups of the older 3000 GTO. They will no doubt be pricey but they are worth considering. What ye think?
