Mr2 Front Fog Lights

hi every 1 bought my 1991 mr2 import a couple of months ago and since i have had it the driver side front fog hasn't worked. finally got round to looking at it and there was no bulb in the unit. thought simple enough replace the bulb, bought a new h3 bulb and noticed it only has the 1 male spade connector on the short wire as all of them do. however my fog light unit has 2 female spade connector like you would expect for a h7 bulb. the h3 bulb fits in the unit and have tried connecting the single male to each of the female connector seperately but with no luck. can any one help me. i would check the other side but one of the screw heads is rusted and cannot remove.
